Top videos!

We’ve made quite a few changes behind the scenes, which means we can start to make some major improvements to the site. The first thing you’ll see is the change to the “top videos” on the home page - it now lists the playlists that each video is in.

There is loads of new stuff on it’s way very soon!

Playlist page update

We’ve worked on the playlist page to improve the reliability of tracking the number of plays in different browsers.

Google Web Accelerator and YouTube videos

There is a known problem with Google Web Accelerator that causes YouTube videos to display “We’re sorry, but this video is no longer available”. This problem affects all YouTube videos, so if you are experiencing problems, we recommend you disable or uninstall Google Web Accelerator.

A problem with the “Edit Playlist” page in IE

We found a problem with using IE to create and edit playlists. This has now been fixed - sorry about that!

Changes to the “Edit Playlist” page

We’ve made the edit playlist page a bit more robust, with some extra help to get you started the first time you create a playlist. Now, you can’t save the playlist unless you’ve entered a valid title and you get a warning message if you try to save the playlist without adding any videos to it.

In addition, you get confirmation that the playlist has been saved.

Playlist sharing

At last, the sharing circle is complete! Now you can send playlists to your friends in webmail accounts, social networks, email contacts and good old fashioned email. To share playlists with your friends click on the “share” link to the left of the title on the playlist page.

Webmail Accounts

By entering your webmail email and password, Veewow will get your contacts and then allow you to select who you want to send the playlist to. It supports lots of webmails including Yahoo, GMail, LinkedIn and MSN.

Social Networks

You can send playlists directly to the inbox of your friends on Facebook, MySpace, Orkut, Hi5 and Friendster. First enter your login details, then select from your list of friends. Easy!

Email Contacts

After exporting your contacts from Outlook, Windows Mail or Thunderbird you can then choose who to send the playlist to.

Enter Emails

The last option allows you to type in the emails of your friends.
