We’ve been working on the search and now released a further improvement to the search algorithm. You’ll find now that the search is much more relevant, and gives results in a better order.
When you search now on Veewow, our clever little algorithm also pulls out videos from YouTube. This means you will always find what you are looking for when searching. And it is a easy as ever to create a playlist - without even leaving the site!
We have more improvements to the search in the pipeline, we’ll keep you posted…
You can now “follow” users. By following a user you will receive email updates whenever they create or modify a playlist. This means you can now keep up to date with your favourite users!
If there is a user who has playlists you like, why not follow them so you’ll know when they create a new playlist, or add new videos into an existing one?
Users you are following
All the people you follow appear in a box on your profile - so you can quickly jump to their profiles and watch their playlists. You can easily remove users you are following by clicking on the X to the right of the user in the box on your profile page. To follow users, just click on the “follow this user” link on any users profile page.
Your followers
Users who are following you are also displayed in a box on your profile. You can satisfy your desire for fame and fortune by getting lots of followers!
We’ve been working on adding followers to your profile, and it’s nearly ready…
All users now have a profile page. This page shows the users playlists and favorites, profile image and other info like age, location and status.
A great feature is that you can drag the boxes around the page to personalise your page. We’ve also made it compatible with MySpace profiles, so you can use any of the profile pimping sites to totally customise your page. Just cut and paste the code into the “About Me” box.

A few bugs have been highlighted by all the new playlists. The most serious related to character encoding which caused some playlists not to work at all, and also affected the embedded player. You’ll be pleased to know this has now been fixed.

We’ve improved the usability of the “add to veewow” button. It is now quicker and easier than ever to build your playlists from within Youtube.
Your playlists are now listed in a table, showing the creation date and number of videos, allowing to change the order of the playlists to find the one you want. There is also a recent playlist quick link so that you don’t have to scroll through all your playlists if you are adding lots of videos into the same playlist.
A change in the way you create new playlists avoids confusion sometimes leading to lots of playlists with only one video in each playlist.
We’ve fixed an issue on Safari, which caused the login box to appear too wide - with a large black box on the right half of the dialog window.
We’ve got a brand new playlist page with loads of new features.
